As I was reaching adulthood, I was thinking about giving up reading comics for good. After all, it was time to concentrate on more important things, like getting an education, starting a career and family, and becoming a productive and contributing member of society. I was ready to do all that. Then I picked up a copy of Watchmen #1. Damn it was good. And so my love of comics continued. Could all the time and money I've spent on comics over the years been better spent? Absolutely. Would other areas of my life have benefited if I wasn't a comic book loving geek? No doubt. Would I be a happier man today? Do I regret the day I walked into that comic store? Haven't you been listening? It was a frickin' great comic!!!
